Synonyms For Living

‘Synonyms For Living’ is an empowering anthology of poetry (collated by @skyepricepoetry) to build community around those who have experienced a form of abuse (and those who would consider themselves allies). These poems reflect a sense of strength and unity, something that I am grateful to have been a small part of. 

My poem, ‘Self Portrait’, strives to articulate an experience of dissociation and the non-linear journey to self-compassion in a way that is gentle and hopeful. While this collection of poetry may not be for everybody, I hope these pieces hold space for those with stories who may not yet have found a space to be heard. 

All profits from this collection will go directly to Black Country Women’s Aid, a charity who are passionate about offering resources and guidance to survivors, or to their family and friends.
